Join us for the 2024 Jackson Wild Media Awards Gala, a night dedicated to honoring excellence in wildlife filmmaking. Held on Thursday, September 5th, at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, Maryland, this prestigious event celebrates the creativity and dedication of filmmakers who capture the beauty and complexity of the natural world. Reconnect with friends and colleagues, and be part of an inspiring evening as we announce and recognize the winners of these esteemed awards.
About Volunteering at the 2024 Awards Gala
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us for the 2024 Jackson Wild Media Awards Gala! To make the ceremony happen, we are looking for enthusiastic team members who are self-motivated, committed, and passionate about conservation & wildlife. While volunteers are not required to work in the natural history filmmaking and science communication industries, priority will be given to applicants interested in the nature and wildlife space.
Volunteers are integral to Jackson Wild events and will play a vital role in the event's success. Whether you're interested in event planning, production, or simply lending a helping hand, there are many ways to get involved in the upcoming Gala.
On September 5th, volunteers should expect to start by 4 pm and finish by 11 pm. Please note that responsibilities will be broken into blocks, so no volunteer will be working the entire duration. The program does not cover volunteers’ travel and accommodation costs. If accepted, volunteers based outside of the D.C. Area will be responsible for covering their trip and stay during the Awards Gala.
Volunteer Benefits
Volunteering at the 2024 Awards Ceremony will earn you a ticket to the event, access to the finalist screening room, and a priority volunteer application to the 2025 Jackson Wild Summit in Jackson Hole, WY.
